Ashley at night

I thought I'd post another shot of Ashley that I worked with last week. I tried a little bit of a cross-process, desaturated, high contrast approach to it. I think it makes for an interesting photograph.

Ashley can be found on www.modelmayhem.com.

Quick aside about Model Mayhem: I want to thank the developers of that site. I had podcasted about this subject on an early show. I wanted a way to search for models via zip code and find ones in a radius instead of just geographically. It seems that they heard my words and gave me what I want (yeah right, I'm sure that was the reason ;-)

Does anyone know if this feature is available in the higher levels of the One Model Place accounts? I like being a photographer on that site, but I seem to be getting more valuable contacts lately on ModelMayhem.com. What site is your preference?

As I'm a moderator there, my choice of Model Mayhem as my preferred portfolio site is a fairly easy one. ;)

But I do really find that the MM community is the strongest, and now that (as of this morning) paid accounts are available more time and manpower can be directed to site improvements.

I will honestly say that I heard the zip code search request in your podcast. It was already at the top of my list of desired improvements, but I did hear it. :)

I have a quick question that seems random-

I found your site while I was googling solutions to fix slumlord problems in cities. I came upon your photo of a city sign posted to humiliate slumlords into action- which city did this? I work for a redevelopment agency in my own city and we have a slumlord problem.

Also- great photos! They are very capitaviting- i love the way you frame your subjects!

Thank you,

Christy

The city is Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The sign no longer exists. The lot is under redevelopment now. I'd forgotten about that sign. I think a lot of people ignored it and one day we were on our walk and I stopped to read it and was surprised at what it actually said.

I'll have to look and see if I can find it. I didn't know I had it on here.
