6 Questions with Ed Hidden @ MyersonPhoto.com

As part of my "playing catch-up" on my blogging, I was interviewed by my co-istocker (and good friend) Ethan Myerson on his blog. Ethan has a great series going over there called 6 questions. As I know he is incredibly busy... I hope he can find the time to get some new blood on there. Because, if he doesn't I'm gonna intercept and run with the ball. (that would be totally touching floor.)

Ethan is a talented photographer in his own right and well worth taking a visit to see his work as well. He also knows his way around some of the more geeky technologies of the web. The kind of technologies he knows like the back of his hand leave me sitting in my chair starring at a blinking cursor muttering to myself trying to figure out the logic behind something not being equal to nothing.

Model Shoot: Jereme Stewart

Jereme
Jereme Stewart is a co-worker of mine that needed some new images for his modeling portfolio. He has one of those strong jawlines that you want a masculine male model to have. This week was the "scruffy" look. Next week we'll be shooting the "cleaned up" look for Jereme.

Check out the galleries here.

Dan Couto

On the LightSource podcast, we had Dan Couto on the most recent show. What an amazing talent. I'm sure purists will have some critique on his images, but I love his illustrative style.

Early in my "artistic life", I was going to be a comic book illustrator. That never happened but I was a technical illustrator and I always had a soft spot for illustration work. I've experimented with some photo illustration over the years and Dan has gotten the creative juices flowing.

Listen to what Dan has to say about his art over at the LightSource podcast.

ShutUp&Shoot - [ SUAS! ]

Yes, SUAS! It's the new mantra. A few of my photography friends and I were looking to inspire each other. So we have decided to convince each other to get off our butts and just shoot something already. We talked about a central site, or a flickr group or something to keep stuff localized. But the more we thought about it, it seemed best to use the power of our blogs to link these together.

What do you do?

Each 15th and End of the month will be the deadline for the SUAS topic assignment. Before the deadline is up, you should have shot and completed your assignment and posted it on your own blog and set a trackback to the SUAS main site.

Be sure to include the following as a caption for your image (in text, don't put it in the image itself)

[ SUAS ] Concept: Tell a story, subject of image is an item commonly found in the bedroom.  Deadline: Jan,31 2008
Photographer: YOUR NAME
Title: PHOTO TITLE
