PhotoCast Premiere Episode

The PhotoCast brings you my experiences with photography: things, people and places I've shot. I'll talk about techniques and tips on things I've learned that I hope will improve your shooting. PhotoCast will feature my images in a video format with upbeat music.

(This podcast may fluxuate between a video feed and an enhanced podcast format till a format is solidified. Feedback can be sent to me@edhidden.com on a preferred format)

In this premiere episode, we'll give a quick background of myself and talk about a fitness shoot I did this summer. This is an enhanced podcast so be sure to save the file and launch it in iTunes or Quicktime Player.

Awesome! I love the enhanced part. It really, really makes the podcast come alive.

I liked the location tips.

I would love to see tips on how to interact with your model, what to provide them with (props, water, etc, for the shoot and for payment)...

Lighting (natural, dramtic, 1 light, 2 light, advanced).

Workflow. Preshoot, during shoot and Post.

Keep it up!!!

Thanks Dustin.

I saw how Podmodel was doing their cast and really liked the presentation for these. Especially with photography. I'm toying with the idea of the next episode of future episodes being video based with stills and motion, but I'd like to not alienate owners of color iPods that aren't 5Gen. (guess there is always the desktop... or offering an alternate MP3 feed.)

I will try to work more of these tips into future shows. I want to keep them short so I will try to keep the focus pretty narrow for each episode so they are easier to digest the info.

Thanks again for the comments. I love viewer feedback!

That's very true about alienating previous iPod users. The pictures alone are highly effective.

I think keeping the focus narrow for every episode is better, anyway. You can have more shows, focused content, and great dialogue.
